The number of award winning films on the festival continues to increase, but just now Simon Brooks, the director of Generation '68, entered the office with a wide grin on his face notifying us that his film had just won an award at the film festival in Lisboa, or as the jury over in Portugal put it:

FICAP's jury has decided to give the jury award to: "Generation 68" by director Simon Brook for his amazing work on researching, gathering, colleting and editing found footage in an overwhelming film.

Earlier this week turkish film Pandora's Box had won the main award at the San Sebastian film festival and earlier this year Terribly Happy won the Crystal Ball in Karlovy Vary and Tulpan won the Un Certain Regard award in Cannes.

And here you can read IndieWire's take on the fest, but among other things they compare dancer Erna Ómarsdóttir to David Lynch and the movie The Exorcist.

Finally two of the festival's films, Snow and the aforementioned Tulpan, were recently nominated for the European film awards in the category European Discovery, but a total of four films were nominated in that category.
